3r ride / 3a sortida

This saturday we went to a Calçotada at a place at the forest near Mataró... I scrapped al least four or five times the steering box, next week I'll try to raise a bit more and to make a steering box protector...

Aquest dissabte vam anar a fer una calçotada a un lloc al bosc prop de Mataró... Vaig rascar la caixa de direcció almenys quatre o cinc vegades, el finde que vé intentaré pujar-la una mica i fer un protector per la caixa...

Speedo cable / Cable comptakm

The man who lowered this bus didn't thought that steering tie rods go up too and could made interferences with the speedo cable... Mine did and the speedo did not worked any more...

El paio que va baixar la furgo no va pensar que les ròtules de direcció pujaven i que podien interferir amb el cable del comptaquilòmetres... La meva ho va fer i el comptador va deixar de funcionar...

Easy way to replace the old cable with a new one: cut the end, warp it with the new end with a tape and pull from underneath.

Una forma fàcil de canviar el cable vell pel nou: talles el terminal, l'enganxes amb el nou extrem i estires des de sota.

Yesterday in my first ride I realised the engine was very hot. After asking what to do at thesamba forum I call my friend Dr. Webber and asked him for a quick timing tune up. Here are some pics and videos of the day.

Ahir a la primera volta amb la furgo vaig notar que el motor estava molt calent. Després de preguntar al forum de thesamba he trucat a l'amic Dr. Webber per veure si podia ajustar-me l'avanç. Aquí teniu algunes foros i videos del dia.

Dr. Webber is now upgrading his bug, with a lowered fron beam and a new engine, his bug should be ready to run the 1st european Bug In.

Testing polish kit / Provant el kit de polir

Like in all the things I do desires wins patience... Today I tested the polishing kit I purchased to polish the louvered windows, I know now it's not the moment but I wanted to test it...

Com sempre en totes les coses que faig les ganes poden més que la paciència... Avui he provat el kit de polir que vaig comprar. Vaig comprar-lo per polir els marcs de les finestres tipus 'graven', ja sé que ara no és el moment però he volgut fer una proveta...

After cleaning the steering box I realised it's... white!
Després de netejar la caixa de direcció m'he adonat que és... blanca!

And the ligths came on... / I es va fer la llum...

At last tail tights work properly. Yesterday I installed the wiring loom I made from rear to front of the bus. At least two horurs under the bus only to pass the loom the right way. I wanted to drove the wires the same way does OG wiring loom, so it means going two time inside the beam. When the loom was at place I attached to the OG loom with plastic clamps, then I place the terminals to each end of each wire and connect it.

Per fí els pilots del darrera funcionen correctament. Ahir vaig instal·lar l'arnès elèctric que vaig fer des del darrera fins davant de la furgo. Com a mínim dos hores sota la furgo només per passar l'arnès. Volia fer-lo passar pel mateix lloc que ho fa l'original i això vol dir passar per dins bigues dues vegades. Quan l'arnès va estar a lloc el vaig agafar amb unes brides de plàstic a l'arnès original, vaig posar-hi els terminals i els vaig connectar.
